Assassin's Blade/Sarah J. Maas/YA Fantasy

5/5 Stars

I love a good prequel story and Sarah J Maas does it again and again and again in this book.

I decided to read this book, not in publishing order, but before I read the last book in the series. I thought it would be a great placement for the prequel stories to be read. I think I made the right decisions.

You meet so many characters and read the triumphs that Celeana has before she is sent to Endovier. And you find out just how Sam dies and their story and how it’s connected to her being sent to the salt mines. But that’s just the last story in the book.

You read about her and Rolfe, her and Yrene, and her and Ansel. It’s so beautifully put together in a timeline that is so perfect.

I loved this book with all of my heart and I cannot wait to finish this series. Maas is so great at creating relationships- to the point where I feel so connected to these fictional characters.

5/5 stars and nobody can change my mind about that.
